Salt IS Community.
From its inception in 2008, Salt has made it a priority to not just be a part of the community but to serve the community. With the philosophy that “when you are given something, you have the moral duty and obligation to give to give back.” Salt has always put serving the community first, be it cooking for those in need of a meal, to collecting food for local food banks or collecting holiday gifts for local children. From hosting fundraisers for individuals or families in need to athletic or academic groups raising monies. Salt has made sure that they keep awareness of the need throughout the year by establishing Salt Cares and Line 9, the giving tap, making funds available year round as needed.
In addition to its outreach to the community through support, Salt is also home to The Salt Shakers, a trail running club that originally started with 3 people in 08 and has developed into a group of over 125 members who themselves as a group has raised over $75,000 dollars for local charity.
